Specifications Writer
About This Role
Spec Services is seeking a Specifications Writer with at least 7 years of experience in the AEC industry to join our team in Farmers Branch, Texas. This position entails editing/developing architectural documents via software programs in a team-based, collaborative atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities
- Use a developed understanding of architectural drawings, construction design, building materials, and construction contracts to produce Architectural Specifications.
- Participate in effective project management and team performance regarding communication, schedule, quality, and service.
- Lead and/or provide support on assigned projects, including:
- Communicate with clients.
- Review, edit, and create technical specifications in Architectural Divisions (MasterFormat Divisions 00-14, 32).
- Manage or support Team Project Administration.
- Coordinate project information and perform quality checks according to established procedures.
- Participate in the training of assigned team members.
- Develop relationships with product representatives.
- Assist staff in conducting product research.
Additional responsibilities may include…
- Assisting with ongoing editing and revisions of Spec Services’ master specifications.
- Occasionally assisting with other project administration duties, including responding to RFIs or submittals.
